    Attention HBGSD Parents, Guardians, and Staff,

    Please review the COVID-19 Dashboard Tracking System and parent notification letter(s) below for important updates on our schools and other helpful information and resources. The District will continue to keep you abreast of circumstances based on available information from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. In addition, we will continue our commitment to mitigate risks associated with the spread of COVID-19 to help keep our students and staff as safe as possible.     IMPORTANT REMINDER: To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, parents/guardians should complete the Student Screening Survey on a daily basis (and when returning to school from a holiday weekend or holiday break) prior to your child getting on the school bus or entering any Harrisburg School District school or the Lincoln Administration Building.     Harrisburg School District 2021-2022 Mask Policy: All adults and students will be required to wear face masks while inside of Harrisburg School District buildings. Vaccinated teachers can substitute a shield instead of a mask when providing instruction. Students will have mask breaks while eating and outdoors. For outdoor sporting events at Severance Field, masks are optional, but recommended. As a District, we will continue our commitment to promote safety and mitigate risks associated with the spread of COVID-19.

    Students and families are NOT to use hospital Emergency Departments for COVID-19 testing. Click here for a list of local COVID-19 testing sites near you. Testing is available by appointment only and in most cases, testing must be scheduled online or by calling UPMC at (717) 231-8336.
